Corrugated Hose Adhesive?

I see residue from some type of adhesive used between the corrugated hose and the elbow-assembly attachment point.

What kind of adhesive is that?

Looking for specific type and/or brand info, and any tips on how to apply it.

@lexvil is correct. That is an Old School method of sealing corrugated hoses to the elbow and inflator shank. The typical cement was/is sold in a can with an applicator. Here is an example:

I believe the newer hoses are made of silicone and do not require cement. I use 2 zip ties and never have any leaks.

One source for a leak on an elbow or inflator shank is the small line of flashing that remains after manufacture. Carefully scrape the flashing off with a razor blade or sand it down until smooth.
