The PADI eLearning does not recommend dive centers to charge the regular price of Open Water Training on top of what is charged to enroll online. Also, you should not have to pay extra for pool training, a percentage of the monies paid to enroll online are sent to the checkout dive center to compensate for the confined water training. Our eLearning program actually saves you money, not to mention the time of sitting in a classroom.

Congratulations on taking the initiative and getting Open Water Certified! How exciting. Learn to love it!

Good to know, thanks. They happened to have a class right when we could make it, so we signed up for that and don't have to do it online. There's such a wide variety in price it really is impressive, and from reading people's opinions on the ScubaBoard, it doesn't seem to correlate terribly well with quality. :11:
