All the dive operators still use land mark triangulation to get you to the sites. I have never been dropped in wrong place. No batteries needed.

Haha! GPS coordinates? Our captains don't need gps coordinates and the old timers would actually be insulted if you asked them where their GPS is...they would point to their head

Toadfish. Splendid is implied but not guaranteed.
My own interest in coming up with coordinates for sites is so I can geotag my dive photos.
