Part 2:

Wasn't love at first sight. I'll collect my thoughts and post a mini review later.

Adjectives off the top of my head, harsh, sharp, loud, cool. As opposed to my G250 in comparison which I would say is smooth, quiet, soft and warm.

If I had to choose between the two right now one dive in I might just lean toward the G250.
Looking forward to the adjectives explained

It was dribbling the whole dive. Have re set to 1.3". I guess there's a reason they set it at that. Am wondering if I had it set too light. At 1.3" it's not leaking. Out of the water at 50bar it was leaking.

Did you peel the sticker? Or is this factory set still?

Sans sticker, I've been playing with cracking since yesterday.

That hex looks pretty deep.
Here's where mine lives:

I ran into trouble with same thing after I decided the lever was "too loose". I tightened the little hex screw beneath the diaphragm and subsequently had lots of trouble tuning to eliminate freeflow.
After I realized I was lifting the poppet with the lever hex, and unscrewed it back to "floppy", my problem went away.

Was the top hex your only change?

Yes, only hex. I did confuse myself by setting hex several times with Venturi lever in both positions. I should have paid more attention to your videos. I then noticed that the Venturi lever affects the hex screw so final setting was done with Venturi lever on.

For a seat that seals at 0.5" to freeflow at 1.1-1.3" suggests that something is interfering with seating. That something with this poppet is most likely the lever.
Take 1/8 turn off the lever hex inside the case, and retune for 1.1" cracking effort.
