I watched the DAN Instructor/IT Update Webinar last evening, before the storms. Lots of changes coming up. DAN is combining the O2 for Scuba Diving Injuries Course and Advanced O2 course. In order to teach the new O2 course instructors and ITs will need to get the Advanced O2 instructor or IT certs. DEMP will now include the Neurological Assessment course. So instructors not certified to teach the Neuro course will have to get that instructor cert in order to teach the new DEMP course. No more paper cards to give to students at the end of a course. When a roster is submitted, instructors will be ordering plastic cert cards for the students. New books, Core guides, instructor guides, IT guides. More changes than I mentioned, but these are the highlights.
