I am considering picking up an underwater digital camera, I do like both of these, but can only do one for now. Can you take stills with the sport video?

Both are good cameras and both can do stills and video. If youare primarily interested in photography, the IC 14 offer strobe functions andhas a CCD chip which is better for photo. For videography, the Sport HD with HD1080p is the better choice.
