Today, I spoke with John Boeckmann, Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds for Ontario Co. He informed me that although the "NO Diving" sign will remain up at the park they have decided not to harass/prohibit divers who choose to dive there, as long as there is NO lifeguard present. They will not allow diving when the life guards are on duty. I asked about diving from the park up the street, and was told NO, because there are no lifeguards assigned there? (you can dive deep run, as long as the life guard is NOT there, but not the other place because theres no lifeguard????) I asked what would happen if the police happen to drive by, and see you and the sign, and he stated they were notifing the sherriffs dept. So my guess is, dive at your own risk, and hope for the best. Good luck.
