Deep6 3mm or 7mm in 77f water?

It seems like very charter I'm on in South FL in the winter there are ALWAYS multiple people on the boat in 3mm wetsuits who are FREEZING before the 2nd dive while I'm nice and comfortable with a smile on my face. :)
That was me on December 26. But we were all freezing on the 46 degree F surface interval. I was fine in the 77 degree water in my 3mm long sleeve shorty.

The boat had some coats. But only 1 XL which I gave to my son. I dried off and put on all my clothes, but getting suited back up was misery.

If I dived regularly in those conditions, I think I'd try to find a good water polo parka. Those things were so warm and also easy to put on when you were wet.
