Evening everyone ,

I'm looking at buying some deep6 regs to build a twin tank setup. My question is simply has anyone on here from NZ got deep6 gear and how did they go importing it / servicing it. I'd love to hear what you think diving them in NZ especially over winter in the colder water and at depth. I've currently got a xtx50 setup for my single tank diving and it's great I'll be using it for my stage when deco diving.

Cheers

I realise this is a slight thread necro, but I have recently received my Deep6 regs and BP/W setup. Importing wasn't too much of an issue (about 3 days to get here from Deep6 then a week with customs mucking around)

Haven't had a chance to dive them yet, as I'm still trying to get everything set up before the holidays, but I will report back in case anyone is interested.

The quality and feel of the gear however seems excellent, so I am pretty relaxed about getting a good experience.

Also I don't think the self service aspect will be a problem either (they ship with the service kit, and there aren't too many parts that need replacing or checking)

Cool great to hear there are others that have brought their gear into NZ. I ended up buying a single tank wing and some deep 6 eddy fins, Now I have to battle to get away from work to give it all a try. I used NZ post youshop for shipping, it was slower but cheaper. :) Thanks for your reply ! I cant wait to cruise around with bright orange fins !

I caved and just bought some of the eddy fins, and a new metric 2" gauge (they have just got them in, so that was good) - couldn't be bothered mucking around with youshop so I just got the expensive shipping direct from Deep6 again. Lets see how long it takes this time :)
