Anyways to answer your question, DEMA is an industry show meaning that you must have "valid credentials to be admitted" and there is a cost to register. Details on what's considered industry are posted @ DEMA Show 2012: CREDENTIALS REQUIRED

Of course enforcement of this is a topic that comes every year and something others may be able to elaborate on more.

Going to Vegas for a "Dive" Show: What a pathetic bunch of hacks y'all are!!!

I'm flying home from Palau to vote in Los Angeles for the Nov 6th Tuesday General Election, and then turning right around to fly back out here to Micronesia/Oceania & SE Asia on dive safari for the rest of the year. . . !

That's what a real dive show is all about. . .
