I'm a Fish!
There was a request earlier for links to class reports for a specific regions, and someone from another region recently posed a question about passing fundies and what happened if one didn't. I've posted links to my class reports several times and it occurred to me that if we did have ONE thread with links to class reports and key information such as location and instructor that may be very helpful to people who are looking at their options. I did not want to post links to anyone else's reports but several have been posted recently that would be great to be inventoried here. Just a thought!

Great idea, Kate.

I only wrote a report on the class I took and earned a rec pass. If I get time today, I might write a quick report on my tech upgrade class so folks will understand what they typically entail (with Doug Mudry as an instructor that is....I know some only require 1 day, whereas Doug asks for 2, but there is a valid reason for that, IMO). Anyway, more on that later.

Here's my report:

We used to have a thread that Cave Diver pulled together, that had all the Fundies reports in it, but I can't find it any more. It was a sticky in the DIR forum for a long time.

There are a bunch more reports out there -- Mo2vation's 7 part Fundies series, SeaJay's Fundies report, and a bunch of others. I'll spend some time looking for them and bring those URLs here, too.

OK anyone who has not read Lynne's class reports, they are a MUST READ! Maybe not so much for picking an instructor for Fundies since STeve does not teach anymore, but for pure reading enjoyment! Also I don't believe SeaJay's Fundies Instructor is still active with GUE either <G> that his reports were ROFLMAO hysterical. I hope you can find them!

This is Cave Diver's post:

http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/basic-scuba-discussions/22200-list-dirf-class-reports.html

It's actually linked in the sticky "What is DIR?"

And I could've swore that I had a website link that had even more.....I'll keep looking as well.

Uh, strike that.....I found it, sort of....

It was on UTD instructor Don Chennavasin's website: Deep Sea Sherpa. However, right now that link and all associated links sends you to an online pharmacy!

Great idea, Kate! I was the one who had requested reports from divers from the Northeast, but a repository of links to all of the reports from divers everywhere would be a wonderful resource for everyone.
