LSanchez:
Excuse my ignorance, but couldnt you just use a watch as a second timer?

Absolutely. I didn't mean to imply that you couldn't. A good dive watch should work just fine.

However, (1) I like the Stinger; (2) The rest of my team uses Stingers; and (3) I ran into a good deal when a buddy upgraded to a Titanium Stinger.

I use a Stinger as my main BT and was using a Mosquito as my backup but as it doesn't have a true guage mode it gave me errors but still tracked my time and depth.

And the Stinger doubles as a very good single gas dive computer, working with all mixes that you would use on single gas dives.

I use the Suunto D3 as my primary timer. My favorite feature is the secondary timer, which allows you to time deco stops in increments of minutes and seconds, while continuing to track the dive.

I also like the download feature.
