Sometimes we tend to bash cruise ships a bit, but I wanted to step up and celebrate a bit when cruise companies do right.

The Central Caribbean Marine Institute in Little Cayman has received a US $23,400 grant from the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund (DWCF). The grant is in support of staghorn coral research.

Of course cruising is just a small part of the overall Disney empire. Glad to see they are stepping up to help preserve the marine environment. I wish the other cruise companies would follow that lead.

That is great to see! I am not the cruising type, but I have some cousins that love them. I will have to tell them about this so maybe they will lean towards Disney in the future.
