Dive alert on rented gear?

I have had one, or similar, almost forever. But I also carry a whistle. If cylinder is empty, air horns are useless.
And I have only ever used mine below, not above, to get attention of students. "If it sounds like someone is killing a duck, that is me trying to get your attention."


So purchase whistle + safety sausage and/or mirror first, THEN the air horn.
