Hi guys,

what dive lights do you recommand for technical dives, wreck diving and etc' (long dives). It needs to be rechargeable (power pack not batteries),powerfull, head worn (an option at least), optional HID.
Preferable also other than NiteRider.

Thanks
Danny

If you're going tech then you gotta get a canister light. They're brighter and they burn a great deal longer. As for specific companies, if you're rich, take a look at the Extreme Exposure lights (http://www.extreme-exposure.com) as they probably have the most thought out design. The AUL lights are pretty good also, and they recently added HID to their selection. They're also a good deal less expensive (http://www.aul-inc.com). I got my canister from northeast scuba supply for $225 (http://www.northeastscubasupply.com). It's one of the 14 amp models with a 35 watt bulb (easily switched to 50 watts if I so desire), and it weighs about 20 lbs., but it's done me right so far and it is far brighter than the NiteRider or Uk1200 dive lights.

There's one more that I know of:

same as the others, have HID - I personally have an AUL 14amp w/ 50 watt lamp. Thinking about getting an HID lamp instead, 18 or 24 watt.
