    This is an old thread, but I was in Answer in Shinjuku: (http://www.uw-answer.com/) today and they are still going strong.

    Furukawa-san speaks English and the service is friendly and helpful!

    I used to live in the Kobe area. The members of this facebook group are helpful: https://www.facebook.com/groups/338757706144206/
    They are not as active as the Discover Divers Tokyo facebook group but many, particularly David Graham, will help you dive, find equipment and get it serviced.

    Also, I did much of my diving at Shirasaki Ocean Park in Wakayama. It's one of the best training facilities I have ever encountered. SHIRASAKI OCEAN PARK
