I posted a short video featuring footage taken at the Coronado Islands last Friday Oct 19th (Baja California, very close to San Diego, CA). Viz was great and features a ton of sea lions as well as a large gathering of California Moray eels. You can see an unusual damselfish (for this area) around the 1:36 mark. I think it’s a juvenile whitetail major (Stegastes leucorus) which I have never seen there before (I’ve only seen them in the sea of Cortez previously, from Bahia de Los Angeles south to Cabo).

Nice video. What equipment are you using? How bright are your lights?
