More from the link sited:
2 divers were manning the boat & 2 were in the water. All were experienced divers. The police have the equipment and the proper authorities will examine/test/etc. it, although at this time no malfunction is suspected [as Redshift noted].
The diver died in the water but it is not known whether the reason was drowning or something else is unknown. The autopsy might tell more.

My own comments:
The Finnish Divers' Federation offices are closed for vacation until 3 August, so we will have to wait for them to post more news. This year they have been incredibly good about compiling the facts and presenting them as a reputable, reliable source.

The equipment testing seems to be standard procedure in all diving deaths, i.e. it indicates nothing as to suspected cause.
