Whenever some asks about best diving books/most helpful dive skill development books/gift for a diver books, Diver Down gets mentioned incredibly often.

So many, many people agree that obviously a whole lot of people would like to see DD II.

Have a look at The Six Skills by Steve Lewis ("Doppler" on here...) A good read with some common-sense tossed in...

Follow it up with Doppler's next book "Staying Alive: Applying Risk Management to Advanced Scuba Diving". Another great read.

Both are indeed good, also Scuba Confidential is similar and quite good too. This however all a different conversation.
