The Japanese government is diverting roughly 30 million dollars of money earmarked for tsunami relief to pay for enhanced security on its annual Antarctic whale hunt. IT CHAPS ME to no end that the new prime minister and toadies comprising the parliament see whaling ahead of its people. :dork2: It makes me feel like a total fool (along with millions of others) to think we contributed $$$$ to assist. Is there something we can do about? Here's a petition online you can send on over to the many idiots which comprise the Japanese government. Currently, there aren't too many other net-based methods to show displeasure, or exert pressure.

Stop Using Japanese Disaster Relief Funds for Whaling - ForceChange

Please note - the petition says 2.9 million. It's actually 29-30 million dollars.

Thank you.

Wow... that's inexcusable. They are beginning to sound like our own government, only here the funds are diverted to assist other
"whales" (too big to fail corporations) at the expense of natural persons (individual citizens).

Signed
