Diving in Squamish?

I’m meeting up with a friend in Squamish next weekend and wanted to see if there are any good sites in the town? Ideally I had my eyes on Nexen Beach but wasn’t sure if there might be current issues with the nearby river and the blind channel.

We’ve done a lot of diving elsewhere in Howe Sound including Britannia and Furry Creek and I thought Squamish could be interesting to try if conditions permit!

Hi! I'm based in Squamish and an OWSI.

I've never dove North of Porteau and would love to someday. Saying that, I wouldn't want to dive Nexen. Lots of debris and challenging conditions/vis due to swell. Did you end up diving here?
