Hi Guys,

I live in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and I recently bought a drysuit and will buy a new housing for my camera. For this, I would like to spend some hours in the pool to train both diving with the drysuit and test the camera.

Does anyone know any places where I can do this? I would also need a place where I could rent the tank to use in the pool.

thanks in advance.

You could try Nemo 33 in Brussels. It's the deepest pool in Europe.

Thanks Mania,

I might try one day that one but it is too far. I was thinking about something nearby that I could go on a more regular basis (after work, or on a Friday evening, etc.)..

Anything closer to Amsterdam?

You might want to join a dive club which usually do weekly or bi-weekly pool sessions. Otherwise, I'd suggest you call around to some of the pools and ask them if they have hours that they would allow unaffiliated divers to use the pool.

Here are some links to pools:

Sloterparkbad
Mirandabad

Or try this comprehensive link of swimming pools:

Nemo33 will not allow you to bring your drysuit into the pool.

Thanks for your answers. How would I join one of those clubs? I am staying in the Netherlands only until July. Does it make sense to join one of those clubs? Thanks

Regards

In your case, probably not.

I'll ask a couple of friends what pools they use and pm you if I find anything.

Holdive on the Amstelveenseweg has their own pool. You could call them and ask if they allow some kind of use of it? For a price, no doubt. :)
