So a quick warning for the Mac folks.
Probably not a big surprise, but DM5 will not work with Big Sur.
It will give the following error message:
"Minimum required OSX version is 10.7. Please update your OSX before installing DM5."

Hope Suunto will fix it soon.

(no need to point out DM5 alternatives, I don't use it as my main logging software)

No surprises. I'm still running Catalina as not really interested in Big Sur.
Had enough issues when I upgraded to Catalina and took ages to get DM5 working. I need it for my Eon. I use Macdive for logs.

Just downloaded new version of DM5 and it won't load so binned it and reverted back to older version.

Will wait to see if they fix it, though doubt it.

I stand corrected about my previous comment.

Instead of opening DM5 and taking the DM5 update from there I went to :

Suunto DM5 Support

and downloaded DM5 version 1.4.3 (20/11/2020) and it works on Catalina.
See release note info below and hopefully it might help with your problem.

OP, you could have stopped typing after DM5 not compatible.
Yea it's been a finicky piece of software from the start. (on a Mac that is, can't say I've ever had issues with it on Win10 machines)
