Too many foreign fishermen sneaking into Indonesian water, illegally fishing and wiping out some fishes there for years. Well, stealing no more. Look what happened to their boats.

Hopefully we as divers can see the benefit of these actions in the coming years.

Some good steps are being taken indeed! Sinking ships is debatable if nets or tarps are forgotten onboard, which is hopefully not the case... Looking forward to seeing the Indonesian government continuing to take good actions and strictly enforcing the laws they have been creating.

Very showy. Not sure how effective. For those companies owning them, maybe it's just another cost to depreciate? Probably there is some manager a-hole sitting in an office somewhere with a spreadshseet calculating the average number of trips they can do before getting caught, the profits for each trip and the cost of the boat vs. the cost of bribes.

Sorry for my cynicism.

Have you guys heard about Susie Air? Susie Pudjiastuti, Indonesian Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister, is the owner of the airlines. She and the new president Joko Widodo (Jokowi) are like a breath of fresh air to Indonesian passive government attitude of the past. Time will tell I guess.

Looks good. Even if it's not as effective as we'd all like, it's better than doing nothing.

Synchronized blasting......could be a new Olympic summer game?

Please
Clearly those boats didn't pay the proper bribes
please some evidence for these accusations.

Too little too late. For every one they confiscate, there are ten more that haven't been found.
Please at which data is this based?
