When I browse YouTube this morning, I bumped into this Jonathan Bird of Blue World video clip about Dugong. I thought to myself, one of these days I hope to see one when I go diving in Red Sea or North Sulawesi or Palawan. Where else do you guys have seen one?

I have seen its North American cousin, Manatee, in Crystal River, Florida.

I have only seen one at North Sulawesi. But it practically swam up to us so I'd have had a very good look if I hadn't gotten overly excited and been trying to get my buddy's attention

Where was it exactly, Bangka?

2nd largest Dugong population is in Abu Dhabi. Unfortunately it's under threat by coastal development.
