Hello,

I'm using a DX-2G and I found the modes selecting rotary selector is not so
"user-friendly", especially in low light condition and when I need to switch
modes FAST (before the interesting creature swims away of crawls back
into its hole): it takes few "turning movements" of the rotary knob on the housing
to rotate the mode selector enough to change the mode. And at shallow depths,
the down force on that knob is low and slippage sometimes occurs, thus
the control response is not deterministic and I have to visually confirm
on which of the modes the selector stopped, which at low light conditions
is quite poorly visible. The net result: it sometimes takes considerable number
of seconds to switch to another mode and by that time I might miss the shot.

I have a suggestion for future models: replace the rotary modes selector
with a pair of buttons that scroll through all modes. A button press action
repeated for a known number of times is much easier to perform than
to rotate the current modes selector. And pressing a button can be done
"blindly", thus regardless of the lighting conditions.

And to speed the scrolling even farther, an option in the "settings"
should allow the user to reduce the modes over which it scrolls
with the two buttons, so that only the actually used modes are
scrolled over.

Just mu $0.02...
