Hello,

I'm using a DX-2G and I'm curious to know, why the group of settings saved
with each of the 3 "my settings" doesn't includes the f-stop value (I think it doesn't
included)? Currently, when I switch between different "my settings" to the one
that uses a full manual mode, I need to manually set the f-stop value which
is strange: I would expect this setting to be saved just like the focal distance
and many other settings.

Can this be fixed by a firmware update?

TIA,

HI-
As outlined on page 185 and 186 of the DX-2G user manual, the "my settings" can be programmed for a number of items that include:

Shooting mode (5/P/A/M/SCENE)
Focal distance used in manual focus
Scene Mode
Macro
Flash Mode
Zoom position
Self-Timer
DISP. Mode
Pic Quality/Size
Focus
Exposure Metering
Continuous Mode
Image Settings
Flash Expo. Comp.
Man. Flash Amount
Auto Bracket
WB-BKT
CL-BKT
Date Imprint
Camera Shake Cor
Exposure Cmp
White Balance
ISO Setting
Density
Frame Rate
Step Zoom
ISO Auto-High
Set Fn1/2 Button*
Level Setting
Digital Zoom Img
CL-BKT B&W (TE)

Unfortunately, the F-stop is not settable for the My Settings. For more information on these settings, please consult the user manual.

Thanks, SEA&SEA,

Yes, I understand that F-stop value isn't saved.
I hoped someone could explain me, why.

Regards,
A_kaza.

Simply because the f-stop value could change dramatically dependent upon the subject and environment, so having the ability to save that setting was not programmed into the camera.
