We experienced some pretty nasty weather on Monday, Aug 30. Hurricane Earl came by us (60 miles N of Virgin Gorda) as a Cat 3 with winds over 125 mph. Luckily, we didn't catch the strongest winds but we did see well over 100 mph during the afternoon hours. ALL of the DIVE BVI staff, shops and boats are okay. We sustained some very minor roof damage on our equipment shed at the Leverick Bay location (closest to the eye) but nothing anywhere else. There are a lot of trees down and power has been off since 5:30 am on Monday. No idea when it will be back. Anegada and Tortola seem to have been affected by much stronger surge and swells. There are reports of many sunken boats in Soper's Hole as well as boats aground on St. John in the USVI.

We have posted some of our videos on YouTube - divebviltd's Channel page as well as the DIVE BVI facebook page. Lastly, we'd like to thank everyone for their well wishes, thoughts and prayers as we deal with what's left.

Thanks again!

Wow, That sucks Jeff, Glad to here you guys weren't to badly affected.

I guess we got out of there just in time.

It was a shame the Dive BVI didn't participate in our show.

We got some great episodes while there and will be on the air on Versus network in only 27 more days.
