It's Colombia in anyone's language, unless you're spelling it wrong.

    Jesus! (Oops, Allah!)

I see both sides of this dustup. CIC @chillyinCanada is good people, she wants to keep things right. It speaks to what I have argued long and hard for, a safe place for newbies.

We (we know who we are) have a lot of scar tissue from the "prepare to defend yourself" forums. I was a newbie once and I have to admit that this place can be a bit intimidating if you feel that you have nothing novel to offer.

Burhannedin, an old salt, just tried to be helpful and got a face-slap. It happens. We press on.

    Hardly a "face slap".

    Regardless, thank you for understanding.

@chillyinCanada: :) I'll try to add something useful for the OP.

    So here goes...

    DiveHardware.jpg

10-pound stainless steel backplate, notice the butt-piece, one is shown as freshly cut and the other is finished. Great place to stow a reel.

Bolt snaps, next column. cold water, brass, warm water/cave, double ender.

Buckles, three oldies, an OMS solution to slipped tanks, and compensating buckles (kinda nice).

Fourth column, Jeez. Did I really put one of those there? Never mind. The fourth column. D-rings. Taco clip, Pelican clip, coldwater D-rings. I love them...

Wait! The Pelican clip does not belong there. Fifth column. Three things that NE Atlantic divers use that will kill you.

Cave ****. Butterfly clip for rear on sidemount and two pissy little clips that are totally useless in cold/ice water with gloves.

Goodie bag. Mussels/clams yum. Sew a D-ring on a piece of webbing at the top of the bag for your reel.

One of the most useful things on the east coast. You can wrap it around all sorts of rusting metal and shoot that fouled Danforth anchor skyward. $$

Last column. Oh S**t! I promised that one to @Marie13. Oversight. Monday...

When did Canada move from the Americas to Europe, Asia or Africa?
