As with all PADI classes, you have "at home", class, and practical sections. For Nitrox, the practical part is usually rolled into the same time slot as the class. I'm guessing that your variation in prices comes into what's included regarding the "at home" portion. Your options are book and DVD or eLearning. PADI will have MAP pricing for the book, DVD, eLearning and PIC cards. If you go the eLearning rout, the PIC card (~$35 can't remember the exact figure) is included.
  • Book and DVD: You are required to buy, the book, the DVD, and the PIC card for the actual certification. The book and DVD should come together and each student needs their own book because pages inside of it must be handed to the shop/instructor to be kept on record.
  • eLearning: This is everything, including the PIC card.
You will have class tuition on top of the PADI materials mentioned above. Just make sure that you are comparing apples to apples in the price breakdown and figure out how long the classes are and if there is a cap on the number of students (expect 2-3 hours minimum).
