As you can probably see, I'm one of the newer members here. I just finished my certification and am counting down the days - 264 till I dive in St. Thomas. I hope I didn't just throw it all away. This weekend I decided to go to the pistol range and shoot 100 rounds or so. Once I got there, I noticed my normal hearing protection wasn't in my bag. At the range store I bought some sponge earplugs. They didn't work well and fell out a couple of times. I didn't realize till I left, I had bothered my ears. A day later my hearing was back to normal, but I noticed 48 hours later if I belch or equalize my ears, i hear a sound that sounds like an incandescent light bulb with a broken filament being shaken. ENT is on vacation this week, so I have to wait till Thursday. I'm hoping I didn't do something that will prevent me from diving.
