Just got back last night from a awesome trip in the Gulf of Thailand. We set sail on Friday night and returned Sunday night. A phone call a couple of weeks ago from a local fisherman saying he got ancient pottery caught in the nexts when out fishing. We dove one wreck that had blue and white pottery from china and also some pottery from Thailand. The second wreck had only Thai pottery. The wrecks where 46-50 meters deep with good visibility. We where able to get excellent movie video of both the dives. A sample is going to be sent to the archeology department to find out the actually age of the findings.
Also the local fishermen told us about a wreck that is in 72 meters of water. Dimmentions of the wreck is about 300 meters long and sits up about 30-40 meters deep. I already in the process of booking the boat for a trip next February. I better have the scooters ready to explore this wreck.
