Some of you probably know about the "human seal" Lynne Cox -- a woman with tolerance for cold far beyond what should be physiologically possible, and author of the book "Swimming to Antarctica".

Natalya Avseenko does Lynne Cox one better -- she swims naked under the ice, periodically taking breaths from her safety diver's octopus:

I saw a documentary about a man who did stuff like that. Previously I thought I was really good with cold.
 
Many people swim in icy water. The diving part yes, is a bit extreme, not because of the cold itself, but the freediving without even fins and mask with overhead...
I was ice diving today and didn't see any of that! Must be going to the wrong places!
