The four of us are planning our next Cozumel trip. Last time we stayed at the Iberostar, but would like to be close to town this time. Have any of you been to the Fiesta Americana since their renovations and change to an all-inclusive and what did you think of it. Is it within walking distance to town? My wife is a non diver, so yes it has to an all inclusive as she will spend most of her day there while the other 3 of us dive.

100 pesos taxi ride. Not a reasonable walk to town for many people.

We stayed there for years before the renovation. We toured the hotel after it was completed and it is beautiful and gets great reviews on trip advisor, but the prices were way out of line. They have since come down to be more in line with the "better" AI's in Cozumel. We almost booked there this time, but got a good deal on Cozumel Palace on Ebay $1632 for 1 week for 2. Fiesta was $1646. We decided to stay there since we can walk to town and that is not really possible from FA.Have fun

It's about 5 miles from the FA to the ferry pier in town. Source: Google Earth

Town isn't within walking distance from Fiesta Americana, IMHO.
