Well, I took my 5060 with PT020 out for the first time... in the Bahamas. Yes, testing is tough. Anyway, here's a link to my pix:

What I discovered was: 1) I really need a strobe. Anything more than a couple feet away was... well blue. 2) This is tough stuff trying to keep a subject in the frame and 3) fish don't stay still!

Anyway, I got to say I have the photo bug now. I love digital cause I can shoot and shoot and shoot and not worry about development costs. The only problem is that there are so many buttons on this housing!

Pretty nice! Until you get a strobe, try the manual white balance. It'll help tremendously with 'the blues'!

Some nice shots despite the blueness, looks like you had a very interesting trip :)

If you want to try cleaning up some of the blueness try using the Mandrake process. There's a link here from Giligan's page Mandrake Process

The attached was done with Macromedia Fireworks using much the same process just to give you an idea. (The resoultion on the Yahoo site is not very high so you may have better results with the originals)

Dee I'll play with the manual white balance, thanks for the tips.

OrangeBloke, that is cool what you did with the photo! As soon as we got back my wife and I started looking at software and found both Photoshop and a comparable Microsoft program (I forgot the name) at Costco. I was going to search the archives here to see if there are any comments on either before deciding which to buy.

Adobe are one of the best at what they do so Photoshop would be my software of choice. But if you don't want to fork out for the full Photoshop studio you can go for Photoshop elements (around USD $99) which will do a very nice job on your pictures

I saw Elements on sale with a rebate so final cost will be around $60 so I think I'll probably get it. It'll be fun playing around with these pix!

Ditto on PS Elements. You'll definately get your $60 bucks worth!
