Took my first day of open water today, did 2 quarry dives pretty much freaked out on the first one after spending so much time trying to get weights to make me sink. took 30 lbs and I used up most of the tank breathing so hard. I am happy to say that the second dive went much better and having a turtle escorting me around the lake made it all worth while.

Can't wait for tomorrows dives.

Well, we all say "fear floats"! Glad to hear the second dive went better.

Lol that it does let's hope it sinks tomorrow, didn't think there was fear but I think the back flip into the water t threw me off. Stepped in the second time.

Scott,
I hope your dives go great today! It's always work when your first starting. So many new things you are trying to figure out. If you liked that little turtle, imagine what you will think when you hit the ocean! Pictures don't even come close to explaining what you will see and experience when you enter that new world for the first time! Happy diving!

Went pretty well just finished. I'm now open water certified but I really need to work on slowing down my breathing.
