Hi All,

I recently bought a GoPro Hero HD and took it on it's first outing last weekend. Two dives in Swanage followed by one dive in Newhaven.

I haven't used any filters but do have the goprofocus flat lense fitted. It's mounted on top of my wrist using a DIY plate which makes it quite stable, with a standard chinese 900 lumen torch attached under my wrist below.

I'm quite impressed with the results, even in the low light of the Newhaven dive. I reckon I'll be sticking with this setup as my aim is to capture the diving I already do rather than diving to make video.

Anyway, see what you think. They're all available in HD too, but I think you have to watch them on Youtube for that.

We were out that weekend - did the Aeolian sky and a drift for dinner along lulworth banks.
The vis in the uk has been stunning over the last few weeks - been really treated!

I had to sit out the second dive - a drift (the dinner run!) due to the non-compliant computer, but yes, the other divers were getting back on the boat with a fair selection (or menus if you prefer :))

Vis has been wierd here for me - a month ago off Southwold had 1/2m maybe 1m of vis - really poor and a really challenging/scarey dive. Then Swanage, with 5-7m... poor for Swanage, and then Newhaven at 4-5m was good.

I'm bloody envious of you diving the Sky though - it is withoubt doubt one of my favourite wrecks (vis or no vis!). Next time give me a shout - I might just have the time/money to join you :) :) :)

All the best,
Bill

Love the dive ladder, looks very well stowed and durable. I just got the go pro Hero HD and not sure how you change to flat lense, I also do not have one to put on. Mounting to speargun so it will soon see some action.
