Got my new BP and old wing wet today for the first time since I built the rig. The BP is a Gary Hoadly GUTS aluminum plate that I picked up on Ebay and the wing was my Dive Rite Rec wing off of my TransPac. This setup was much more stable than my Transpac and quite comfortable. I know I have to give Fred T a shout though and order one of his extra long plates (I am 6'4" tall). The setup packs smaller than the Transpac and is lighter so it will be going on any scuba trips that involve flying. I will probably make the Fred T setup my drive-to-dive setup. I can see now what everyone has been talking about with the control and balance of a BP setup. I am hooked and cna't wait to get in open water with this setup.
