Flesh wounds from fin straps above heel

    I used my regular cotton socks during my recent vacation. Served the purpose well. No need for expensive fancy socks...

    Same here. A pair of old medium weight dress socks cured the irritation I used to get on my heels.

    I always wear booties with open foot fins even in the tropics. I was diving in Fiji with closed foot fins that were too small and they really tore up the skin on my heel which became infected. I always travel with Cipro and it cleared up the infection quickly.
