You are invited to attend my presentation on the Oculina Reef!
Oculina is a deep water coral reef located 30 miles off shore extending from Ft Pierce to at least Cape Canaveral.
The reef was on the brink of extinction due to the trawling activities of a hungry shell fish industry. Team work with NOAA, Harbor Branch Foundation and a local seafood restaurant saved this reef from its apparent destiny.
