My thoughts on folding knives in general...

If I had to use them in a crunch situation it would require more steps and/or two hands two deploy the knife and get myself untangled. I don't want to complicate the deployment process.

Understand I have never used a folding knife in a scuba diving scenario so these just my thoughts not actual experience.

The one time that someone I know really needed their knife to get them out of a situation he was so entangled he said he could barely reach his kinfe with one hand to get it out. He keeps his knife on his waist strap.

A knive that requires two hands isn't the best, IMHO.
