I have experience on most all of the ffms out there. for psd work i would look at the ots/interspiro/poseidon masks. i would stay away from the ocean reef, they tend to be rather ill suited for contaminated water and abuse caused by psd work.

If you plan on having communications I would go with the Interspiro AGA FFM. Ocean Technology Systems makes some awesome communication systems that mate up with the AGA. You can go wireless or hardwired. If you are diving tethered (which in PSD most teams dive tethered the majority of the time) I would go with the hardwire comms. Much better sound and less likely to fail on you. Our team has been diving with both for many years and have found that the wireless at times will go in and out depending on the dive conditions and surrounding area. Hardwire has never failed us.

The upkeep on the AGA is very simple. OTS puts on a one day school for AGA Mask Tech which is good for five years. As far as training on the use of a FFM I would recommend Dive Rescue International. There are also several other agencies out there that you can look into yet DRI is one of the best.

Good luck and dive safely!
