Gates Underwater Housing with Sony VX1000

-1 Gates Housing
-1 working VX100
-1 spare VX1000 for parts
-3 battery packs + charger
-1 dome port
-1 flat port (for close-up & half in water & half out of water shots)
-1 diopter
-1 pack of 3 diopters for close-up filming with flat port

This set-up has served me very well, used maybe a dozen time a year for 10 years and rinsed carefully after every shoot. The housing has never so much as leaked a drop. The camera works fine & shoots a great underwater digital video. The camera is missing a magnifying eye piece which makes it difficult to shoot above water, but it works fine for underwater use with housing. One of the batteries doesn’t last long, but the other 2 are still quite functional. The dome port has a scratch which can be fixed with a plastic polish (like the Novus system) but it doesn’t show up when you are filming underwater unless you point it into the sun (water fills in the scratch underwater). Video shot with this camera + housing can be viewed at:

It may be a while before you get an answer. The only time the poster was on SB was to post this thread last May - hasn't been back since.
