CCR diver got off of the wreck chasing a fish. Couldn’t find their way back to the wreck and had to drift during deco. It was foggy, no one saw the bag and the plan was for a 3 hour runtime. The diver was miles away when they were picked up by the Coast Guard.

I saw the USCG scrambling out - I’m on the Shark River. That’s a big drift from Asbury.

The currents were strong this weekend and I would assume the diver was swimming toward land. Its not more than a few miles is it? News reports of this sort are almost always inaccurate. Shark River is probably nothing more than the nearest geographical reference.
