Only if you've got the SAC rate to match the longer NDLs provided by the Nitrox blend you're breathing.

I got it through TDI, so the science was useful. Still not sure why almost all agencies require checkout dives, that is why i did it through TDI.

which agencies required dives?

I was advised that PADI, NAUI, SSI and others that I looked at require 2 checkout dives with NITROX. I am NAUI certified but just couldn't see spending extra money to do checkout dives with an instructor to put a tank of NITROX on my back to get a card. Theory is what is important.
