Has anyone been able to photograph/identify the "catch tentacles" on the the Giant Plumose Anenome(Metridium farcimen? They are found close to the mouth, can be up to 12cm long, and there can be up to 19 on an individual .
They are found on individuals that will border a colony and use it to sting neighboring colonies. If y'all have pics, PM, I'd appreciate it. This is for preliminary research for an undergraduate project I am working on.
