Beautiful! Love those goliath grouper. I've heard about the Castor before; never dove it. Wonder how it compares to the Esso Bonaire wreck down in Jupiter?

Richard.

Even though I dive regularly in Jupiter I’ve not been on the Esso Bonaire. Castor is off of Delray about 45 min south of Jupiter by car. I’ll let others who have been on both wrecks comment as to how they compare.

Nice video @JimBlay

Hi @drrich2 I have over 100 dives on the Castor, only 13 on the Esso Bonaire. There is an endemic year round population of Goliath Grouper on the Castor, maybe 20 individuals, you often see about half that number or so. During aggregation, there are many, many more. There are generally fewer GG on the Esso Bonaire, off season and during aggregation. Of course, you often also see sharks on the Esso Bonaire. There are a couple of Bull Sharks on the Castor but you don't always see them and they tend to be skittish.

Two more weeks until I arrive in Florida. I hope the Goliath's stick around for a while.
