Good bye my friend, long will I remember diving with you. May you rest in peace.
May your skies always be blue, with calm seas and 100ft. vis.
May you see for yourself the glory of His wonders which until now could only be captured on film.
    I miss ya man.
    Rest in Peace.

I have added this information from Mardie (bold added by Scuba_Jenny)
Florida Atlantic University is now flying all their flags at half staff in honor of Matt. WOW! That is a first if I recall and it looks like we are still a go for the College of Nursing lobby and gardens. Monday February 26 from 7 till 9pm. Food will be provided so all we want is for his friends to show up and celebrate Matt's memory with good stories and great people.

    It's horrible news!

He was great fun to dive and hang out with.

I'll never forget his humor and good spirit, and his cries when we stole Loonie

    We'll miss you Matt!

I'm still at a loss for the right words. It is still unreal but I know that Matt's spirit will be with us on every dive.

I am absolutely stunned and saddened by this news. In the few meetings with him I've had it was as if I had known him an eon with his humor and wit. I was looking forward to seeing them again in a few weeks at the fossil event.. :(

Mardi - please let us know if there is anything our family can do to be of service to you!!

There are no words to describe the huge loss we all suffered today. Matt was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew him. Roxanne and I cannot begin to tell the grief we feel with the passing of our friend. Our hearts go out to Mardi and she will be in our prayers.

The last time I saw him was Thanksgiving dinner. We all had a grand time. I was shocked when I heard the news. Mardi, you have my prayers, please let me know if there's anything I can do.
