Another vote for the DGX mask. I bought two more once I started to use this in case they ever decide to stop making them.

They have had thier ultra-view on sale for a little while now. The mask itself is the same as the standard with a lens coating. I'm not sure if it really does anything, but good price.

If you've come far enough in your diving that you need a backup mask, you really shouldn't call it redundant.
Just get one that is the same as the one you primarily use, there is no case to be made for getting a cheap/crappy backup mask.

Thanks to a few of the members who have recommended our Minimus Mask!. As was mentioned, it WILL fit or we will take care of you. One of the potential benefits of the MAKO Minimus mask for this application, is that the head strap is attached via tabs on the outside of the mask skirt.

Most masks, attach the head strap buckles to the mask frame. This type of connection is somewhat susceptible to damage.

With the buckles connected to the frame. the mask can safely be folded flat. The sides and buckles can be bent inward making a very thin profile, perfect for storage and the buckles are not subject to any stress (at all) from this.

Small and folds flat. That is why the Mako Mini is what always rides in my thigh pocket as a backup mask.

Before Dano ( @MAKO Spearguns ) came out with his product, my choice was a two lens compact model by HOG. @Jim Lapenta carried a pretty good "like/dislike" policy that made me confidently try one.
