I am looking for some input on a good video set-up. I am obviously a total newb to video and just want to get some of your opinons of a nice set-up under $2,000. Any help would be appreciated.:D

under $2000 is easy, there are lots on the market in that price range. Do your research first!
--First you need to decide what kind of housing - mechanical or electronic.
--Don't by a camcorder until you decide on the type of housing AND make sure one is available for the camcorder!
---The electronic run over $1000 but you can get one for many cameras out there: www.usvh.com or www.oceanimagesinc.com
--If you want mechanical, check out www.ikelite.com to see if one is available for the camcorders you are considering. Then go to someplace like www.bhphotovideo.com or www.adorama.com to buy the housing and camcorder. They have great variety and great prices. Also www.reefphoto.com
Here's one complete package from them:
http://www.reefphoto.com/index.php?...d=1292&zenid=bcf6f0920a539a34c9d0ec88af9dff1b

--Make sure you have a good computer at home with appropriate software in order to edit.
--Then you need to remember that good videos come from divers who dive alot and practice practice practice.

welcome to the world of underwater video!
